How To Turn Your Front E Entry into a Clown Arch

Use the other tutorials to make this Haunt possible!

Step #1

Step #1

First, trace out the teeth, eyes, and nose for the arch. To do this, we projected the plans onto a sheet of pink foam that we had drawn up in Photoshop.

When tracing, make sure that you check to make sure that your plans are at the right scale.

Step #2

Step #2

Once you have traced everything onto the pink foam, cut them out.

Step #3

Step #3

Begin painting the teeth, nose, and eyes. We primed everything with acrylic paint first (White for the teeth and eyes, red for the nose).

We repeated the painting process for all of our cut out objects.

The fangs had pink, tan, yellow, orange, and grey spray paint applied to them.

Step #4

Step #4

Now, start on the nose. For this part, we primed it with an acrylic paint that had the red color that we wanted to use.

Step #5

Now, add detail by using spray paint. We used a variety of red, purple, pink and white colored spray paint on the nose.

Step #6

Step #6

Then, we began painting and adding details to the eyes.

Step #6

Step #6

Now, start on the eyes. We painted ours with a yellow/orange iris.

Step #7

Step #7

Once we finished, we laid them out to dry before attaching them to the gutter.

Step #8

Step #8

To attach the eyes to the gutter, we screwed clips for Christmas lights into the bottom of them. Then, we hung them onto the roof.

Step #9

To attach the nose into the gutter, we put the hook on the top, so that it could hang down farther than the eyes.

Step #10

Step #10

Hang your circus tent up, and you've got an arch that will be sure to scare anyone that walks by!
