Step 1:

Add whatever you are going to put around your porch. For us, this was setting up the whole "Farmhouse" look.

Mix red paint and some water (to thin it out) on a paper plate. Then, let someone with gloves coat their hands.

Step 4

Apply the "bloody hand" look to wherever you see fit.

In our case, it was on the doors, and across the easily reached and seen boards.
